What a busy week!

I seriously feel like I haven't had a break this week, I'm exhausted. Thing is, there's still Friday to go, I can't explain how little I care about going to college tomorrow, but I'm gonna go to Archaeology at least because I haven't gone all week. I'm such a crappy student.
On Tuesday night me and my boyfriend went to see Boys Like Girls and Kids in Glass Houses. They were really good, but I didn't enjoy it much because I had a cold, so we left early. I really regret leaving but I just wasn't in the mood to jump up and down and scream and so on. It was still really fun though.
On Wednesday I spent the day at Adams house because Gran Turismo came out and so he played on that for quite some time whilst I slowly consumed all the food in his house. We also watch a great deal of Cardcaptors, which is my favorite Anime from my childhood. Kero is the cutest little character. We watched a few episodes with English subtitles, but then we switched to English dubbed because Adam's too lazy to read things and watch things at the same time.
Anyway I'm off to get some food now, only just realised it's almost eight and I'm yet to have my tea.

Listening to Taylor Swift on a foggy day

It is so foggy outside that I can barley see the houses on the next street. I really like it when it's foggy though, because it reminds me of being at the seaside, and I love the seaside. Today at College a lot of people were dressed up for Children in Need, I didn't dress up, but I did paint my nails like Pudsey bear, I'll put a photo at the bottom of this post.
This morning I got an unexpected text from an old friend and it's left me quite puzzled. I've not spoken to her for quite sometime, and I abandoned the hope of us ever being very close friends again, but she asked me if I wanted to hang out sometime next week ... so there may be hope still.
I'm sleeping at my boyfriends house tonight, which should be nice, then I've got work Saturday and Sunday evening, which isn't so nice, but I need the money so I can't really complain.

More about Colorado Skies (my band)

At this moment in my life my band is one of the best things I've got going on. It combines three of my favorite things, music, singing and my boyfriend, Adam. Adam, Alastair and I are so into what we're doing. We're writing songs and music, and we really have fun at practice too.
We're called ColoradoSkies and that's because I love the song Vegas Skies by The Cab, and I felt we couldn't just steal that name so I thought of some cities and looked on Google images for pictures of their skies. I tried places like, LA, Orlando, Texas, but I really loved the sound of Colorado, and from Google images I got this amazing picture;

So that's how I got to the name, just in case you were wondering.

Paramore at Motorpoint Arena Sheffield 11/11/10

Hello there! Last night I ventured to the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, with my favorite boyfriend, Adam, to see Paramore. They were really amazing. The band was supported by Fun, who did a brillaint cover of Radio Gaga by Queen, and B.O.B, who as you may or may not know, is a rapper. I am not into rap, so I really lost interest in that part of the gig. Fun were realy good though, Adam actually bought a Fun t-shirt from ther merch stall, and he kindly bought me a Paramore t-shirt, I'll include pictures of both, because I think they're really snazzy.
Paramore did a really good job of keeping the crowd interested, I was in the seated part of the arena, and by the end there were very few people sat down. I was stood up all the way through because the over excited girls next to me were stood up, and I could see past them because we were at a funny angle. Hayley Williams now has pink hair! I think it's a bit weird, I liked the orange more, but it was very pretty, and kind of made me want hair like that too.
My favorite part of the gig was when the audience got to sing lines and verses, it sounded amazing. Which leads me onto the question, why does everyone sound nice singing together, but one person singing can sound horrible? I find it ver, ver, ver nice. That's all for now!

Bye bye Dexxie pie.

I don't think I mentioned this on the blog before, but I have a rabbit, or should I say ... I had a rabbit. Yesterday morning I woke up to find my rabbit unable to move, but still breathing, and I was heartbroken. His name was Dexter, and he was about five months old. The weather had been really bad that night, and although I'd done everything I could to keep the hutch warm, he just wasn't old enough to withstand that kind of cold, he went into shock and died in my arms on the way to the vets. Needless to say I was very, very upset, and as were my family, and my boyfriend.
I took the day off college because I was a sobbing mass. I'm over the crying now, but I still have this feeling in the pit of my stomach, as if I've swallowed a brick. I'm not sure what that feeling is meant to be, I'm putting it down to feeling guilty, but really there wasn't much I could have done to make him any warmer, other than bringing him into the house, which my parents wouldn't allow, their not bad people, it's just a rule. They loved Dexxie just as much as I did.
I just feel sad that he died so young, it's such a shame because he was such a character.
What really pisses me off about the whole ordeal is that when we got to the vets they wouldn't look at Dexter untill I registered with them, and during that time, he could have still been alive. Then my mum had to pay £13, just for them to take him away.

Work,Band & Other such things

Okay, so I'm in a band, a pop-rock-punk-emo-indie band. I'm the singer because I'm no good at playing instruments, and I've also had singing lessons which makes me the ideal contestant for the role of singer really. In my band there is my boyfriend the guitarist, and a fine young chap called Alastair who we found over the internet, and he plays the bass guitar. You may notice, we have no drummer. Our original drummer has decided he's busy untill after February, so we've decided he's no longer in the band because we're impatient little buggers. Hopefully we'll get a new one soon, before Christmas if possible.
Like 40% of the British teen population I work at McDonalds. I've worked there for about five months, and everyone there, even the new starters act like every day is my first day, because no one really remembers who I am, because I'm a very quiet person. At the momment I'm only getting one five hour shift a week, which sucks. I work there so little that when my shift comes along I'm acctually excited to go, and if I've learnt anything from my parents, one shouldn't be excited to go to work.
I've bought some Christmas presents! I feel like I have acheived so much by spending my hard earned money (which my mum gave me for occasionally hoovering up), on other people, with the aim of making them happy on Christmas day. I'm far less stressed out about the whole Christmas present situation now.
I hope you're doing well, whoever you may be.

Christmas Shopping.

Okay, I know it's only just November, which obviously means there is quite some time before Christmas day actually arrives, but I'm a little stressed. Usually I have all my Christmas gifts bought, wrapped and hidden in my wardrobe by the middle of October at the latest, but not this year. It seems that me having a job, and actually making money for myself, has left me with very little money to spend on gifts. I'm not even sure how that's happened, because all I seem to buy these days are McDonalds meals, Boost smoothies and the occasional Starbucks. I'm not a healthy lady.
The only gift I've bought is one for my boyfriend, which I had to buy the moment I saw it because I was in London, and I can't just nip down to London when I want to, so that's how I ended up with ... well I can't tell you what it is, it would ruin the surprise.
I went shopping with my mum last week, to buy Christmas gifts, but unfortunately it turned out I had a lot less money than I thought, so we ended up going to Frankie and Benny's, so I'm not complaining ... or am I?
I went shopping again when I did have money and all the things I had seen for people had mysteriously disappeared, needless to say I was a tad annoyed.
I'm hoping to venture to York sometime next week and get some serious shopping done, because as the countdown clock on my Colleges homepage keeps telling me, Christmas is drawing ever nearer.
I hope anyone who is reading this is having better luck than I am.
